[23 JULY 2026 | Makati, Philippines] – The ASEAN-Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GT Capital Holdings, Inc., welcoming it as a strategic partner for sustainability, digital and AI innovation, and trade facilitation. The MOU also recognized Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) as the official mobility partner for this year’s Chairship.
ASEAN-BAC Chair Jose Ma. Concepcion III and ASEAN-BAC PH Executive Director Patrick Chua signed the agreement with GT Capital Chairman Francisco C. Sebastian, Vice Chairman Alfred V. Ty (who also serves as Chairman of TMP), and President Carmelo Maria Luza Bautista. TMP President Masando Hashimoto and First Vice President for Corporate Affairs Josephine C. Villanueva were also in attendance.
Concepcion underscored the importance of partnerships with private sector sponsors in helping ASEAN-BAC’s efforts to deliver an inclusive, high-impact regional event. Vice Chairman Ty reiterated the group’s commitment to local growth and to “driving the region’s Sustainability and Investment agendas through leadership in the automotive sector.”
“Today, the ASEAN ecosystem is a huge consumer and labor market, young, vibrant, and dynamic,” Chairman Sebastian said, underscoring the benefits of continuous support and strategic collaborations between public and private sector leaders towards a more prosperous and inclusive ASEAN.
This MOU signing strengthens regional policy coordination by deepening strategic stakeholder relationships with GT Capital Holdings, Inc. as a Gold Sponsor and partner across sustainability, digital & AI innovation, and trade facilitation, alongside TMP as official Mobility Partner.
